Description
A rare regency commemorative sideboard celebrating the Battle of Trafalgar. This wonderful regency sideboard has a serpentine figure and cross banded top, with an excellent patina, over three pull out oak dovetailed drawers. The central drawer with a well executed carving of a Trafalgar lion and flags, to each end reveals a cupboard and an original led lined wine cellarette.
Standing strong, this superb sideboard is supported by decorative turned and fluted legs with carved acanthus leafs.

The Battle of Trafalgar was a naval engagement during the war of the third coalition of the Napoleonic Wars and fought by the British Royal Navy on the 21st of October 1805, a victorious outcome for Vice Admiral Horatio Nelson.
